CABINS and NATURE
A dream
On the heights of Crodo at an altitude of just under 1,000 above sea level, in front of the Antigorio and Cistella valleys, with glimpses of Devero, along the ancient path that led to the sun-kissed Aleccio alp, there was a village that was used since the 1600s by shepherds and Walser people who stopped here to cultivate the land and raise livestock for the production of milk and cheese.
Today a village has been regenerated, respecting tradition but with special attention to the well-being and comfort of guests who in a fairy-tale place can “slow down” time and enjoy the wonderful spectacle of nature.

Living in a cabin
A unique experience….
living in a cabin,
smelling the scent of wood,
be warmed by the fire of the stove,
sleep enveloped in the sounds of nature in a unique setting where her majesty Nature is still master.
In the cabins you can enjoy every modern comfort, kitchens equipped with induction hobs for the safety of guests, themed tableware, stylish furnishings made in part from the timbers salvaged from the renovation, bathrooms with unmistakable taste and designed to offer the best comfort experience thanks to spacious showers and ample bathroom countertops.
Every detail is taken care of to enchant the guest, to leave a mark, a memory of a place where people worked for a living more than 200 years ago.
Having fun

Thanks to the many hiking trails starting from the village and found throughout the valley and natural beauty having fun and enjoying nature will be a snap.
In addition to the many hiking trails of all levels, there are:
1) the recently discovered Deer Crag where some of the most important cave paintings in the Alps dating back to 4,000 B.C. are found.
2) The Devil’s Wall, a rare megalithic structure dating back to the Iron Age that was used for religious functions
3) The Uriezzo Gorges, a complex of gorges formed by the action of streams that once flowed downstream of the Toce Glacier
4) The Marmitte dei Giganti, a natural pool formed by the Toce with very large boulders
5) The Balmafredda: a rock wall that is a destination for climbers from all over Europe
By bicycle, motorcycle or car you can reach:
1) Premia spa (car/motorbike: 10 minutes)
2) Devero Park and lifts (car/bike: 20 minutes)
3) Toce Waterfall (car/bike: 35 minutes)
4) Val Formazza ski lifts (car/bike: 25 minutes)
5) Domobianca ski facilities (car 30 minutes)
and what a story!
A few “steps” from the village is one of the most important walls depicting prehistoric rock paintings in the entire Alpine region, dating back to the Neolithic period.
Also just a few minutes from the village is the Devil’s Wall, famous for being one of the largest man-made megalithic works, the Uriezzo Gorges, the “Cold Balma” rock wall, the giants’ potholes and the original Crego Oratory.
Here in the village is a small cave where it is easy to imagine that prehistoric humans spent their days sheltered from danger given the scenic location that gave them the ability to control access and hunt deer, fox and game.

Her majesty nature
Here nature can be felt, great is the impact, beech and coniferous forests envelop you and a sense of healthy helplessness pervades guests, letting go is easy

Love and Passion
It is always a joy to receive a good review from our guests, we do this work driven by wanting to share the beauty of the place and being able to “slow down” to fully enjoy the spectacle of nature. Meeting expectations is a great job that without passion and love would be hard work, in just a few months we achieved recognition from airbnb as a super host.
"Wonderful place for those who love direct contact with nature and the mountains. We spent two weeks in the cabin of Marco, who was super hospitable and super nice always, both telematically and in person. We leave hoping to return again and especially happy to have been there."

"The house is nestled quietly against the mountain with a view of the valley. It is very nice, simple and tastefully done. Despite much rain, we had a great time and the fireplace served us well. There are many fantastic hiking and walking destinations in the area. The contact with Marco and Katia was very friendly and uncomplicated. Katia brought us fresh flowers and herbs (they smelled wonderfully of rosemary). We want to come back again."

"A vacation in nature! Mountain cabin, nestled in the woods. If you are looking for peace and quiet it is the right place!!! My family and I had a great time. Great place to rest and at the same time a good location to get around and discover beautiful places!Very useful Marco's guide for making trips. Although we are not experienced mountain walkers, there are walks in the surrounding area that can be done without too much effort! To welcome us we found Katia, very valid and very kind collaborator of Marco! Always available for anything. I recommend, without a shadow of a doubt this Baita! Thanks again!"
